The Stephen Longfellow Academy is named in honour of a colleague who worked across many schools in the Leeds region and established an outstanding reputation as a man who cared deeply about the most vulnerable and challenging students in our schools.

Sadly, Stephen died in a climbing accident in September 2015. It is a fitting tribute to his memory and contribution that he made across Leeds for over two decades to name this alternative provision free school after him.
