Year 10
Year 10 are continuing their extended project which is based around ‘natural forms’. They have been exploring a range of media (Pencil, Biro, Paint, Pastel) to help develop an impressive portfolio which showcases their artistic skills based on the Assessment Objectives of Art and Design. Students have started to explore the artist Georgia O’keeffe, who’s work displays close up, abstract natural forms. From here students have begun to experiment with macro photography, using nature for inspiration. Students have started to create some interesting, abstract images, which they will then use to develop their artistic journey further.
Year 11
Year 11 are currently working towards completing component 1 of their coursework. Here they are beginning to refine Assessment Objective 4, which focuses on creating final outcomes. Students are bringing together ideas and processes in effort to create a personal response which showcases their skills and journey effectively.
