Year 10 have been continuing to develop their component 1 portfolios. A focus on the development of independence within their creative practice has enabled students to begin to make their own decisions about which topics they choose develop. Student have continued to apply practical skills using a range of materials such as tonal pencil, biro, mono print and paint.
Year 11 have been working on the refinement of portfolios for component 1. Independent practice requires students to make informed choices about the materials they are using and developing. With a starting point of natural forms, students have developed their project ideas and some are now starting to focus on ideas of life and death. Students have used a range of sources for inspiration and have begun to explore these in more detail.
