This half term both year 9 and year 10 have continued to make progress with the citizenship GCSE course. The students have now completed the first unit of work; Life in modern Britain. This included work on the media, and Britain’s role in international organisations. Students are using the knowledge they have gained to develop the skills needed to succeed in their exam. They are also developing their knowledge of important current affairs, for example Brexit. Our students have enjoyed debating ion the pros and cons of Brexit and have researched their own viewpoint to enable them to debate using a secure evidence base.
