In KS3 this half term, students have exploring concepts of resilience and learning about exploration. Y8 have been reading extracts from the novel Touching the Void, a real-life story of a failed expedition in Peru. They have not only improved their reading skills, such as retrieval and inference, but have also written lots of creative pieces inspired by the story. The half term has finished by completing a formal report about an unexplored location.
