After reading/studying George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm over the first half term, students were then able to apply their knowledge of plot, characters and context to produce three pieces of display quality work for their AQA Unit Award. The first of the tasks was to prepare a visual piece of work as an aspect of the novel ‘Animal Farm’ for a wall display which most students chose to create a poster, storyboard or leaflet. The second task was to produce a creative piece of writing based on the novel. And the third was to write a short description of at least two characters in the novel. This week we have had the enjoyment of watching the animated version of ‘Animal Farm’ where we have been able to draw comparisons between the film and novel.
