Over half term 1, students at The Stephen Longfellow Academy have covered the subject of Digital Literacy. Through digital literacy, students will be able to hone their traits like resilience, perseverance and strength of purpose. This scheme of work is designed to give learners a basic introduction to key Information Technology skills through using Microsoft Office tools. Students will be given an assignment brief and they will have to produce a series of documents based upon the skills taught within this unit. Students will develop their MS Word skills, this will include producing a series of different documents based upon a client brief, these will need to be to a professional standard. They will recap the structure of a spreadsheet including the introduction to functions including complex functions i.e. COUNTIF, IF, COUNTA etc. Finally, Students will be introduced to complex features of presentation software, this will include timings, transition effects and the inputting of master slides.
