| Autumn | Introduction to the Arts. Learning about different materials. Term one focuses on exploring wet mediums and collage. |
Year 8 will focus on Sea Life and develop a selection of Fishes whilst learning about the unusual and fabulous creatures that live under the sea. | Students will start this term by studying skulls and the Day of the Dead. whilst exploring a variety of mix-media. |
| Spring | Colour theory. Students will learn about colour theory and how to effectively mix and blend paints. |
Dreams and Nightmares. Students get the chance to create their own character and accompanying story. |
Natural World. Over this term students get to practice further their understanding of the formal elements, yet also get the chance to explore nature and the natural world. |
| Summer | Word & Art Typography. Persuasive language. Advertising. Students create their own wording using images and crafted lettering. |
