This half term in Maths students have been studying number topics. At the end of every topic students’ progress in Maths tracked via the work in their Maths books and by the classroom assessment tasks we do at the end of every topic. Every classroom assessment task is split into either a bronze, silver or gold task where gold is most challenging. Students are focusses on honing their basic mathematical skills, developing fluency and having the opportunity to solve real life mathematical problems.
At the end of the half term the students sit a short iterative test on the topics they have covered.
