In Key Stage 3 we are studying an English Language Unit on Titanic. We are practicing a range of writing types:
- Non-Fiction – Newspaper Articles, Letters and Reviews.
- Fiction – Story writing.
We are also reading diaries written by people who survived the Titanic disasters to get a better understanding of what the experience was like. Students have engaged extremely well with the topic and have produced some excellent work on how the passengers on Titanic may have felt during the tragic events.
The skills we have developed this half term will help prepare students for the requirements of extended pieces of writing, ready for key stage 4 and their GCSE in English.
