After completing the last Lego communication challenge, learners were ready to use their communication skills over the holidays. Students have developed their understanding of different ways people may communicate, the difficulty some people have in making themselves understood and how we can help others that differ from ourselves.
This half term, we are moving onto Alcohol and Drugs Awareness, learners have already learnt about some of the negative effects of alcohol, and can highlight some of the dangers of being drunk and how dangerous this is. Students will be going on to look at the extreme risks associated with drugs, Sessions delivered in class will be supported by our Director of Physical and Mental Wellbeing with students having 1:1 access to discuss any concerns or worries that they may have.
