In Key Stage 4 we are studying the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet. There will be questions on this play in the English Literature Exam and so hard work put in now will significantly benefit students when placed in exam conditions. We are beginning to learn the characters and the plot of the play before we go in deeper and study the Shakespearean Language. Students have worked extremely hard to keep an open mind and “learn a new language”.
Students have watched scenes from both a traditional Romeo and Juliet play and Baz Luhrman’s adaptation, making comparisons and using critique to distinguish between the two.
