Year 8
Students in KS3 continue to make excellent progress in Maths. They have consolidated their understanding of Volume and Surface Area and progressed onto Data Handling, learning in particular how to construct Compound Bar Charts.
KS3 teachers continue to effectively use Progress Checks to assess their students’ understanding and target their feedback and subsequent Green for Growth activities on their gaps in knowledge.
Marley (Year 8) – Marley has accessed a number of Maths progress checks this term and has been able to build his recall and fluency skills during his Green for Growth catch up sessions
Leighton (Year 8)- Leighton has successfully completed a lesson on the topic of surface area of cuboids. Leighton was able to access his fluency tasks and Purple Zone in lesson and also his Green for Growth recall question the following lesson.
Caspar (Year 8) Caspar has fluently constructed a number of compound bar charts in lesson and is now able to interpret data when given exam style questions on this topic.
