Year 10
As Year 10 are covering a 2-year GCSE curriculum, this term have progressed through Unit 3 on Tables, Charts and Graphs, similar to Year 9. This included creating and interpreting Stem & Leaf Diagrams, Compound and Dual Bar Charts and Scatter Graphs.
Year 11
This has been a busy term for Year 11, completing 2 mock papers in full exam conditions. Students’ focus and conduct throughout the mock exams were exemplary, a credit to themselves and the Academy.
Following the mock exams, Year 11 classes have spent lesson time covering the critical topic of Transformations, one that is regularly featured in previous exam series. They have also spent time completing Green for Growth tasks on key topics identified within their Question Level Analysis grids linked to each exam.
Year 11 teachers are now adapting their planning to tailor their lesson content to topics identified within the Question Level Analysis from the mock exams, making their lessons bespoke to the learning needs of their students.
