The Stephen Longfellow Academy is proud to offer continued support to our wider school community. Central to all of our work is ensuring the wellbeing of our students and their families.
As we move into the next phase of reopening the academy, we are pleased to let you know that we will be offering 1:1 wellbeing appointments for any student that would benefit from speaking with a professional. In the first instance, these appointments will be with either Mr Harrison or Mr Storey, and will take place at The Stephen Longfellow Academy.
We are able to support students with issues such as:
- sleep disruption
- managing anger and emotions
- lock down anxieties and facing additional challenge
- anxieties about the current situation, returning to school or other things that they are finding difficult
Sessions will be allocated on a pre-booked basis and will run for a maximum of 45 minutes. Additional resources and information will feature on the academy website and will be available to take away on the day or can be posted to students who are unable to attend sessions.
To access these sessions or to discuss if they would be of benefit to your child please contact Mr Storey or Mr Harrison on 0113 468 5999.
*This offer is in addition to our ongoing counselling and parent/carer support which can be discussed with your key worker or through your child’s form tutor.
