KS3
Year 7
This term we have covered two different activities. We started the term developing our coordination skills through playing table tennis. It was brilliant to see the progression through to the final week where we were able to have a small competition between the group.
In the second half of the term we moved on to trampolining which all the students have engaged really well with. They have demonstrated good levels of control whilst on the trampoline and progressed onto front and back landings.
Year 8
Throughout the half term we have completed two different activities. We started with table tennis where students progressed through a range of forehand and backhand skills including serving until we reached our final week which consisted of a small tournament. We then moved on to trampolining where students again have progressed through a range of skills with a wide variety of difficulty.
Year 9
This half term the students have been taking part in trampolining which they have really enjoyed. The students have learnt a wide variety of skills include seat landing, front landing, back landing and are now onto somersaults. The students have shown great resilience to keep trying to improve their performance and ensure that it is aesthetically pleasing. Students have also given each other some great feedback to help one another improve, they have been using feedback cards to help identify what they need to work on.
