Year 7
During HT2 students have been introduced to table tennis. Students have focused on gripping the bat correctly then moved on to some key shots such as forehand push, backhand push, forehand serve and backhand serve.
Students have also had chance to access the school gym, they have all been through a gym induction so they know how to use the equipment properly.
Harry in Y7 is working on his ball control in table tennis, seeing how many laps of the table he could complete without dropping the ball. He has also been working hard in the gym looking at the impact of exercise on his HR whilst on the gym equipment.

Year 8
During HT2 students developed their skills in table tennis. In particular they have looked at applying spin to shots to the forehand drive and the backhand drive. They have also learnt to perform the forehand/backhand push/serve with increased accuracy and control then progressed into applying these skills in conditioned games. Students have also had chance to access the school gym, they have all been through a gym induction so they know how to use the equipment properly.
