Students have been learning about cells and systems in year 7. These topics give students the opportunity to develop their understanding of their own bodies. Students have engaged in a variety of activities from watching inspirational videos demonstrating the processes of the different organ systems to practical activities demonstrating the way that human body works. This topic allows students to consider our sense of place in the world and the complexity of our body.
In year 8, students have been completing exciting investigations in to the chemical reactions of elements in the periodic table. These topics give students a basic grounding in the key components of all substances on Earth. This gives students the knowledge blocks to build upon as they move in to KS4.
