Our SMSC focus for half term 6 will be diversity and culture. Learners will be focussing on the different cultures and beliefs that are followed in the UK and the wider world. We will also be looking at challenging discrimination and what the words acceptance and tolerance mean. As part of our work during HT6 we will also be looking at positive role models and how these are important in raising aspirations and becoming a stronger person. Assemblies and form reflections will endeavour to drive home the importance of cultural difference and accepting the beliefs of others and to explore how within our own lives, and within society as a whole, we can work towards eradicating discrimination, prejudice and racism.
