“I was lucky to have received so much support this year and wish TSLA was around in year 7. Miss Evans and Mr Little have looked after me this year and helped me when I struggled. I was lucky to be helped by all of the pastoral staff and received counselling which helped with my anger.
At TSLA, you get lots of extra help in class and the groups are smaller which means you get more of the teacher’s time. I never liked school and although I wasn’t perfect, my behaviour at TSLA was better and meant I could learn. My grades should be better but I had wasted years of school. I am proud to have achieved GCSE maths, English and science as well as PE, this has helped me become an apprentice in plumbing.
Mr Mallinson is a very fair head teacher and has lots of staff who care.”
